BELT AND ROAD

CHINA’S BELT AND ROAD INITIATIVE (BRI), FIRST ANNOUNCED IN 2013 BY CHINESE LEADERSHIP, MIRRORS AND EXPANDS THE LEGENDARY SILK ROAD ON LAND AND BY SEA. THIS MASSIVE PLAN FOR INFRASTRUCTURAL AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT INCLUDES PROJECTS IN 65 COUNTRIES REPRESENTING OVER 60% OF THE WORLD’S POPULATION.

BACKGROUND

The Asian Development Bank estimates that Asia alone will need US$ 1.7 trillion per year through 2030 for infrastructural projects in transportation, energy, power, water, agriculture, urban planning, natural resources, healthcare, and telecommunications. The financing needs of the broader BRI spectrum are considerably larger.

These funding requirements are severely strained even with the immense resources of China Development Bank, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, multi-lateral development banks, and other regionally focused funds.

GATEWAY FOR EAST AND WEST

We fill this funding need by providing Western capital sources for our Asian developer relationships. Project developers and investors each benefit in terms of diversification, ROI and achieving strategic investment and trade objectives.

Through long standing personal and business relationships, we vet choice BRI investments with a view to disclosing and reducing political, market, financial and corporate governance risks. Crossing cultural differences, we assist with complex communication, analytical, regulatory and structural issues.
